Summer retreat in the Zillertal mountains

Hiking: through nature on foot

The Zillertal is a textbook example of a hiking paradise. 1,400 km of hiking paths are just waiting to be discovered - from leisurely walks to challenging summit tours. You have direct access to various routes right from Alpen-Apart such as the loop trail on the Kleinschwendberg, where you must conquer several vertical meters but will be rewarded with a view of the Keilkeller waterfall.

More challenging and even more picturesque is the 3-hour climb to the Alte Kotahornalm at an elevation of 1,625 m. For short excursions, we recommend the Hippach-Schwendau loop path or the Zillertal Sculpture Trail!

Climbing: conquering the mountains

The newest via ferrata route in the Zillertal starts only 5 km from the guesthouse: here at the Talbach via ferrata, beginners as well as ambitious climbers will find excellent terrain for climbing tours. You should plan for around 1 hour for this route. Particularly advantageous is the steadily increasing difficulty level, which offers suitable access and exit points.

The route leads along challenging steep passages until you must finally venture out on 3 cables over a gorge! Depending on the season, the Talbach waterfall may be gushing forth, which makes this via ferrata a special experience. In addition: awaiting you in Mayrhofen, which is 3 km away, are more via ferrata routes!

Biking: fun on 2 wheels

Here in the Zillertal, you will find a true Eldorado for mountain bikers - from trails in the valley to magical panoramic tours at great heights! A wonderful beginner's route is the loop tour via the Kleinschwendberg, Schnitzelwirt, and Hippach. With a length of 11.6 km, it combines almost everything that the Zillertal has to offer mountain bikers.

The Zillertal bike path is a true classic that leads through the valley on 31 km. You can access the trail right at the apartment house, and the route leads from Mayrhofen to Strass. Along the way, you will come across refreshment opportunities, playgrounds, and many sights!

Rafting: racing through the water

Whitewater, rapids, great impressions of nature, and plenty of teamwork: rafting on the Ziller is an experience that you won't soon forget. For adventure rafting, all you need is a little bit of courage - and of course, you can't be afraid of water ;-)
